Evening Parent Workshop.

Come to the school library on Tuesday, April 5, from 7 to 9 p.m. for the second in a series of new parent workshops. "Friendship" is being piloted at the Carlisle Public Schools as a result of a collaborative grant between Open Circle at Wellesley College and Families First of Cambridge. Marilyn Buckler, former Carlisle School Psychologist will offer this new parent workshop. The mission of both Open Circle and Families First is to support families in raising happy, productive children. "Friendship" will explore the most current information about children's friendships and social needs and how parents can best be supportive when concerns and challenging situations inevitably arise. Participants will learn specific ideas and activities to immediately implement at home. Call Marilyn Buckler at 1-781-259-8886 or e-mail: mbucklerl@comcast.net to reserve a space as group size will be limited. Participants will receive confirmation of their reservation during March.

NotifyQuick system. The NotifyQuick system will not be used to inform parents of snow days or delays, but will be reserved for during-the-school-day school closings or emergencies. Remember to check radio and television announcements of school closings on snowy days. Announcements are made on: WHDH Channel 7 (television) and WFXT (television), WBZ Channel 4/10:30 A.M. (television and radio), WBUR 90.9 (radio). Check more than one station/channel, as the volume of incoming calls may preclude Carlisle's posting from getting in to some outlets.
