Quick update on the CC pool
Last week, the Concord Board of Selectmen voted to add articles on their Town Meeting warrant to support the Concord Carlisle Swim and Health Center. One article will allow the pool to operate as the Concord Municipal Light Plant and Water Department do. All operating expenses and capital improvements for the Swim and Health Center will be covered by revenues from user fees. A second article on the Concord Warrant authorizes the spending of $515,000 for office and fitness equipment for the center.
CC Pools, a non-profit organization, is building the center presently in front of the Concord-Carlisle High School. It is set to open at the end of this year. Upon completion, the center will be gifted to the community. Concord Recreation will run the new facility. Carlisle residents will pay the same membership fees as Concord residents. People from other towns will pay slightly higher fees. CC Pools will be sending out a mailing in the next few weeks.
