Four powerful Carlisle athletes dominated the court on this year's varsity basketball team. Senior Sam O'Keefe returned to the team for her fourth year, and her second year as co-captain. Scoring the second-most points on the team, she was a highly-skilled point guard, and an athlete with an intense knowledge of the game. O'Keefe was regarded as a second coach on the court, skillfully leading her team. For her accomplished career this season, she was named a Second-Team All-Star.

Junior Marie Benkley was a newcomer this season on the varsity team, playing as an aggressive small forward. Benkley was an excellent defenseman, and was very strong with the ball on the court. Sophomore Pami Anderson returned to her spot on the team as an outside shooter. Anderson was an all-around hard-working and dedicated athlete who played the game with great precision. Coming onto the team for her first year, sophomore Lisa DeBruzzi earned a starting position as a forward. However, she soon demonstrated that her skills were not limited to her position as forward. She was both a strong forward as well as a skilled guard. Overall, the team had a great start to their season and took other teams in the league by surprise with their improvements. Despite being two games shy of making the playoffs this season, the team came away having one of the most successful seasons in recent years.
