Carlisle ranks #4 in "elite" group
On Sunday, January 23, the Boston Globe reported on rising property taxes in most Massachusetts cities and towns, due to skyrocketing land prices, cuts in state aid, and increases in insurance and other town costs.
It was not a surprise that Carlisle was among the top five towns with the highest average property taxes in the state. the good news, however, was that Carlisle's taxes increase in the past year was considerably lower than that of other towns in this "elite" group.
