Carlisle School enrollment stays level
The 2004-2005 enrollment for the Carlisle Public School remains a steady 831 students (2003-04 school size was 830) however, the class numbers show a bulge in Grades 4 and 5. According to a report at the Carlisle School Committee meeting on Wednesday, October 6, 101 students in grade 8 graduated and the kindergartners entering numbered 79.
Other numbers of note indicate that from October 1, 2003 to October 1, 2004, 76 students moved into Carlisle and 51 withdrew. Eleven went to private school and 40 left Carlisle. The Carlisle Public School continues to house one class from Case Collaborative. Home-school children supervised by the school in 2003 numbered 3 while this year there are 2. There are 16 preschoolers.
