Acton reports two sexual assaults

Acton residents have been alerted after two sexual attacks on residents last week. A release by the Acton Police Department says on October 4 a resident was opening her Great Road apartment door late in the evening when she was approached from behind. The second attack occurred in the West Acton Center area and was similar to the first. The suspect in both instances committed an indecent assault and fled.

The attacker is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall and of medium build. A vehicle seen in the area was said to be a two-door silver or gray vehicle, possibly a Honda. Acton Police Chief Frank Widmayer III has asked residents to be careful and observant and call the police department at 1-978-263-291 if anything looks unusual or suspicious.

Carlisle Police Chief David Galvin says no similar incident has occurred in Carlisle, but suggests Carlisle residents follow Widmayer's suggestions and call Carlisle Police at once if they observe anything suspicious.
