Thanks CCHS Senior Safari donors and volunteers
To the Editor:
Everyone involved has heralded this year's Senior Safari as an unqualified success. The seniors had a sensational time, the entertainment and food were great, the games and activities and music had them laughing and dancing all night long. We had a great group of parents from all the classes helping to organize, set up, chaperone, and then clean up Sunday morning. Thank you to Arena Farms, Chang An, Coca Cola of New England, Concord Lumber, Concord Provisions, Costa Donuts, Crosby's Supermarket, Dino's Pizzeria, Donelan's Super-market, Dunkin Donuts in West Concord, Helen's, New London Pizza, Roche Bros., Rossini's Restaurant, Sally Ann Food Shop, Sorrento's, Starbuck's, Trader Joe's, and West Concord Super Market. We appreciate your support. For years, all the amazing props and supplies gradually gathered over time, have been generously stored by the Bates Family and we thank them very much for this extremely valuable contribution. We are now very grateful to the Concord Field Station in Bedford, for storing everything until next year.
Thanks to the Concord Police Department for joining us for the evening, and to Michael Silva and Clary Bestor-Williams for being the medical presence that is necessary in case the need arises. And as always, our champion of power, Scott Henderson, and his team of electrical helpers, wired the whole place so that all the wonderful lighting and equipment operated smoothly, and then remained on hand to respond to the inevitable glitch or two. The Senior Safari is a parent-run event. But the people who work at the school and for the district are truly our partners in this effort. Bonnie Hardy, manager of food services, Audrey Rowlette and her staff in the kitchen, and Steve Wall and the school custodians, are amazing in their commitment to the students and parents. Not only are they dedicated to helping in any way they can, but it is great fun to be with them, and they take such pleasure in doing a fabulous job. We are also appreciative of the ongoing financial support from CC Booster Club. So thank you to all, and have a great summer.
