State lowers Minuteman HS assessment
Last Tuesday Town Administrator Madonna McKenzie told the Carlisle Board of Selectmen that the Massachusetts legislature has changed the minimums and Carlisle is now eligible for a decrease of $2,802 in its Minuteman Regional High School assessment. However, McKenzie reported, Minuteman has decided not to change the assessments, claiming that it would need to do a new assessment calculation and that 11 communities have already approved amounts based on the previous numbers.
This seemed unreasonable to the Selectmen and they agreed to send a letter to the school requesting that the town be given the decrease that it properly deserves.
