Erika Elmuts weds Glenn Stephens

Erika Elmuts, daughter of Gunars and Maggie Elmuts of Stoney Gate, and Glenn Stephens, son of Melvin and Pauline Stephens of Concord, were married on July 5, 2003, at the Trinitarian Congregational Church in Concord. A reception was held following the ceremony at the Concord Country Club.

The bride is a 1989 graduate of Concord-Carlisle High School. She received her bachelor's degree in 1993 from Harvard University and an MBA from Babson College. She is founder of Nantucket Ventures.

Glenn Stephens is a 1984 graduate of Concord-Carlisle High School. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1988. He is employed by EMC Corporation as a Senior Account Executive.

Following the wedding the couple flew to Kauai, Hawaii, for their honeymoon. They reside in San Diego, California.

Janet Lang weds Charles Monahan

Mr. and Mrs. David Lang of East Street and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Monahan, Sr., of Buckingham, Pennsylvania, are pleased to announce the marriage of their children, Janet E. Lang and Charles R. Monahan, Jr. The wedding ceremony took place on May 15 in the bride's parents' garden, followed by a reception at the Langham Hotel, Boston.

The bride is a graduate of Concord-Carlisle High School, the University of Massachusetts, and the Pennsylvania School of Chiropractic. Dr. Lang has a private practice in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania. The groom is a graduate of Rider University and is a senior vice president at Morgan Stanley. The couple will reside in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania.


Michael Peter Lando

Michelle and Peter Lando of Brook Street are pleased to announce the birth of their son Michael, born June 2 at Emerson Hospital. Michael joins his big sister Sophia Anne, age 2.

Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Paul J. Laroche of Manchester, New Hampshire, and Mr. Rosario L. Lando of Fishkill, New York.

Marina Kamenakis of Aaron Way has been appointed Vice President of Marketing for Cynosure, Inc., a leading developer of laser and light-based solutions for aesthetic medicine, based in Chelmsford. The new CEO and president of the company is Michael R. Davin of Kimball Road.

Julie Bissell, formerly of South Street, wishes to announce that she has joined the team of hairstylists at Jon-Claud Salon in Acton. Julie specializes in creative haircolor, highlighting, and cutting. She welcomes existing and new clients of all ages.


Last week the Mosquito mistakenly referred to Rick Margolies as an "out-of-towner," though he has lived in town for 13 years.

The Venus transit will occur again on June 6, 2012, and then not again until 2117. For many, it is a "twice-" rather than a "once-in-a-lifetime" event.
