The Carlisle Town Hall appeared the usual quiet place on Monday morning when two couples arrived at the Town Clerk's office just before 9:00 a.m. to apply for a marriage license. May 17 was the fiftieth anniversary of the Supreme Court ruling on Brown vs. The Board of Education, a consolidation of legal challenges brought by plaintiffs from the states of Delaware, South Carolina, Virginia, Kansas and the District of Columbia.
