Primary Election is Tuesday
The Presidential Primary Election is scheduled for next Tuesday, March 2. Voting will take place at the Carlisle Town Hall, 66 Westford Street, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Voters registered under a political party may only take a ballot of that party. Voters registered as "unenrolled" may choose the ballot of any party. After voting, if they wish to retain their unenrolled status, they must fill out a new "enrollment card," which will be available at the polling station.
Absentee ballots available
Registered voters who will not be able to vote at the polls in the presidential primary on Tuesday, March 2 due to:
• absence from town
• physical disability
• religious belief
can obtain absentee ballots at the Town Clerk's office at Town Hall from now until Monday, March 1 at noon.
The fine print
The fine print on the ballots under TOWN COMMITTEE reads:
Vote for not more than thirty-five.
• To vote for individual candidates, mark an X in the square to the right of the name or
• To vote for a whole group mark an X in the square after the word "Group."
