School employee breaks leg in fall
Denise Casper, an employee of the Carlisle Public School, broke her leg on the morning of Friday, February 6, which was a scheduled professional day. Casper slipped on the ice as she crossed the school plaza area, breaking her leg in three places. An operation was required and she spent the weekend in Emerson Hospital. It is expected that she will move to Whittier Rehab in Westboro this week.
Casper supervises lunch personnel, volunteers and recess monitors, and works in both the business and the main office of the school.
According to the Assistant to the Superintendent, Peg Lynch, who was with Casper in the hospital, she is doing well despite a complicated recovery.
