Amy Versaggi of Buttrick Lane gave birth to a daughter, Grace Edie Versaggi, at 12:04 on New Year's Day at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. Grace was the first child to be born in the Boston area in 2004 and if you had turned on the TV news January 1, you would have heard all about it on Channels 4, 5, 7, 25, 38, and 56. ARE YOU OK? A daily telephone calling system, generated by the Carlisle Police Department, designed for elders who need to be checked on, saved the life of a Carlisle resident last month. After not answering the initial phone call, the system called back two more times. Then the police dispatcher sent a police officer to the home to do a well being check. ...more

The non-profit Carlisle Conservation Foundation (CCF) has announced that it has secured an option to purchase 45 acres of the Benfield property, located off South Street.
