Arrested burglars await trial
The two men arrested last week for attempted burglary and numerous other charges (Mosquito, October 17, page 1) have been arraigned and are currently being held at the Concord District Court. Bail for Francis McLaughlin was set at $1,000 cash and bail for John Zieba was set at $3,500 cash. Unless they make bail, they will be in custody until the next available court date, November 13.
The two men were in possession of property stolen recently from a house in Tyngsboro, and it is believed they may have been involved in a recent Brook Street breaking and entering, according to Lieutenant John Sullivan.
When questioned, Sullivan said that police have arrested the persons responsible in three out of four burglaries this year in Carlisle, and have significant evidence to help them identify the fourth perpetrator.
