July 28

8 a.m. DPW was advised of a dead deer at Lowell Street and Sunset Road.

10:57 p.m. Patrol found an open door when doing a housecheck on East Street. It was secured.

1:37 p.m. A summons was mailed to a Lowell resident after he was found to be driving with a suspended license.

7 p.m. Patrol assisted with a court order and kept the peace on Westford Street.

July 29

6:18 a.m. Two loose horses were reported at Curve and Martin Streets. Patrol had a negative find.

4:26 p.m. DPW was advised of a deer that was hit on Rodgers Road.

8:05 p.m. Patrol assisted at the scene with transport to Lahey Hospital.

July 30

9:48 a.m. Patrol assisted the fire department at the scene of a medical emergency .

5:35 p.m. A suspicious moving van on Skelton Road checked okay.

5:50 p.m. Patrol assisted at the scene at West Street and Log Hill Road where a tractor trailer was blocking the road.

6:45 p.m. A ticket was issued to the operator of a vehicle parked in the fire lane at Spalding Field and Church Street.

7:40 p.m. Patrol assisted a resident with a medical problem.

July 31

7:04 p.m. A disabled vehicle was removed at Bedford Road and Brook Street.

9:50 p.m. Patrol conducted a street light survey.

August 11

11:38 a.m. Patrol was successful at the scene of a vehicle lockout on Lowell Street.

12:38 p.m. DPW was advised of a branch hanging in the roadway at West Street and the Westford line.

12:45 p.m. A North Road resident reported that his house was broken into during the previous two hours and that two laptops were taken.

2:55 p.m. A Concord Street property owner reported a break-in and vandalism at a house for sale on that street. The incident is under investigation.

7:16 p.m. A Westford Street resident reported larceny of two kayaks, oars and other equipment.

August 2

1:03 a.m. Patrol removed a large tree branch from the roadway on Concord Street.

11:47 a.m. A resident contacted the station with legal questions about a civil matter.

3:28 p.m. A resident was given a final verbal warning after multiple offenses of parking illegally on School Street. She was cited for the same offense later in the week.

11:15 pm. Patrol assisted the fire department at the scene of an odor investigation on Suffolk Lane.

August 3

10:03 a.m. A license plate found on Curve Street was picked up at the station by the owner.

10:29 a.m. A non-resident who was dumping at the transfer station was asked to leave.

12:56 p.m. A horse that got loose at Foss Field and Bedford Road was subsequently caught in Bedford.

4:58 p.m. Mutual aid was requested by Concord for response to a burglar alarm on Monument Farm Road.

7:38 p.m. Patrol assisted the fire department at the scene of a medical emergency.

10:32 p.m. Patrol assisted with the successful removal of a bat from a South Street residence.

August 4

6:55 a.m. Patrol assisted the fire department at the scene of a possible gasoline leak on Stearns Street.

9:09 a.m. Patrol was successful at the scene of a house lockout on River Road.

1:13 p.m. A Maple Street resident reported ATVs on the property. Patrol had a negative find.

2:31 p.m. A Toyota key in a magnetic case was found on Indian Hill Road.

3:42 p.m. DPW was advised of bags of trash in the roadway at Bedford Road and Stoney Gate.

3:55 p.m. Patrol assisted the fire department at the scene of a medical emergency.

7:35 p.m. A restraining order was served in hand at the station.

7:37 p.m. Patrol kept the peace at a Westford Street residence.

9:59 p.m. Patrol responded to a disabled vehicle and subsequently made one arrest and issued four summonses. (See story on page 5).

August 5

12:21 a.m. Patrol assisted the fire department at the scene of a fire alarm investigation on School Street. The alarm was determined to be malfunctioning.

12 noon. A summons was mailed to the last known address of an operator driving after his license was suspended.

12:03 p.m. A summons was mailed to the last known address of an operator driving with attached plates.

12:05 p.m. A summons was mailed to the last known address of a Carlisle resident operating after license suspension.

3:56 p.m. ATVs were reported to be operating on the Greenough Land lot on Maple Street by a Billerica resident. The Greenough Dam road is posted and is not strong enough to handle ATVs.

10:22 p.m. Vehicles parked at North Road and the visitor's center were advised to move along.

10:49 p m. Mutual aid was given to Westford police who had arrested a 14-year-old trying to pass counterfeit bills. The youth said he made the money with the aid of a young boy from Carlisle. Westford is conducting the investigation.

1:22 p.m. DPW was advised of illegal dumping on Maple Street.

August 6

6:32 a.m. Police units assisted an Autumn Lane resident with a bat complaint.

9:14 a.m. Trucks blocking the roadway at Brook and Maple Streets were advised.

9:23 a.m. Patrol removed a branch in the roadway on Page Brook Road. DPW was advised.

9:56 a.m. A resident on the former O'Rourke property on Maple Street (now owned by Fish and Wildlife) reported ATVs were damaging the property.

1:09 p.m. A ticket and a fine were issed for a handicapped parking space violation on School Street.

1:40 p.m. Patrol was unsuccessful at the scene of a house lockout on Maple Street.

1:46 p.m. DPW was advised of a sink hole at North Road and the canoe launch.

1:49 p.m. The recipient of a ticket for parking in the handicapped space at the school appealed the ticket to the police chief.

2:26 p.m. A resident who needed a record of his fingerprints had them taken at the station.

August 7

8:53 a.m. A resident reported handwritten sexually explicit notes soliciting sex were found at Maple Street

and the Greenough Lot land. This is not a misdemeanor, according to the police chief.

1:35 p.m. A detail was ordered for a moving van blocking the roadway on Cross Street.

2:20 p.m. Patrol checked the grounds at the Greenough Lot on Maple Street.

6:36 p.m. Patrol removed a tree in the roadway on Lowell Road, and DPW was notified.

9:53 p.m. A message was left for DPW about branches in the roadway on Bedford Road.

August 8

1:30 a.m. Patrol assisted the fire department at the scene with medical transport to Emerson Hospital.

7:03 a.m. NStar was notified of a tree hanging on power lines on Westford Street.

10:38 a.m. A woman jogging at North Road and the canoe launch reported a suspicious suitcase. Patrol investigated the report and found the suitcase contained adult videos.

12:36 p.m. A vehicle accident occurred on Cross Street. There was no personal injury.

12:37 p.m. The dog officer was advised of a complaint by a West Street resident about a dog digging up plantings.

3:39 p.m. NStar was advised of a branch on the wires at North and Pine Brook Roads.

5:15 p.m. Patrol assisted the fire department at the scene of an odor investigation on Bedford Road.

August 9

9:57 a.m. Patrol assisted the fire department at the scene with transport to Lahey Clinic.

August 10

9:18 a.m. An Estabrook Road resident reported mailbox vandalism

9:57 a.m. DPW was notified about a low-hanging branch at Bedford Road and the Bedford line.

10:03 a.m. A Bellows Hill Road resident reported mailbox vandalism.

12:04 p.,m. A Brook Street resident reported turf damage.

1 p.m. Patrol removed a branch from the roadway on Fiske Street.

2:30 p.m. Patrol assisted lost hikers on Baldwin Road.

5:23 p.m. A Cutter's Ridge Road resident reported a problem with a sick bird on their deck.

6:44 p.m. A tree was reported on the power lines on Westford Street.

8:52 p.m. Patrol assisted the fire department at the scene of a reported appliance fire.

3:55 p.m. EMTs responded to a lifeline activation and subsequently transported a resident to the hospital.

12:22 a.m. A School Street caller reported smoke detector activation.

5:37 a.m. An alarm company reported alarm activation at a West Street residence.

August 6

12:14 p.m. A Rutland Street caller reported alarm activation.

August 8

1:30 a.m. A 75-year-old woman having difficulty breathing was taken to the hospital. ALS responded at the scene.

10:15 a.m. An alarm company reported alarm activation at an East Street residence.

4:23 p.m. A car struck a telephone pole on Westford Street. There were no injuries.

5:16 p.m. A Bedford Road caller reported the smell of smoke in the building.

6:16 p.m. A 13-year-old with an allergic reaction to a bee sting was taken to the hospital, with ALS assistance at the scene.

August 9

9:58 a.m. A 75-year-old woman who was vomiting blood was taken to the hospital, with ALS assistance at the scene.

August 10

8:51 p.m.. A South Street resident reported an appliance fire.
