Four canoes and 18 kayaks head down the Concord River on Saturday at 5:30 a.m. to take part in a RiverFest sunrise paddle. Twenty-seven participants paddled the Carlisle section of the Concord River which passes through the Great Meadows National Wildlife Refuge. Birds were identified along the way, and a breakfast stop at the Riverview Restaurant in Billerica was enjoyed by all. (Photo by Peter Burn)
