Mr. and Mrs. James Davies of Hubbard Street, Concord, formerly of Heald Road, Carlisle, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Carrie, to James MacKay, son of Peter and Lee MacKay of Adams Road, Concord.

The bride-to-be was born and raised in Carlisle. She attended the Carlisle School, and graduated from Concord-Carlisle High School and Dartmouth College. She received her medical degree in 1995 from the University of Massachusetts Medical School. In 1999 Dr. Davies joined a pediatric practice, West Main Street Pediatrics, in Hopkinton, Massachusetts.

An October wedding is planned.

Tiger Cub Den 12 of Carlisle Pack 135 went on a tour of the Sovereign Bank in Bedford on May 1. The tour completed the Banking Elective for the Tiger Cubs. Brian Caples provided an excellent behind-the-scenes tour that was both educational and entertaining. The Cubs enjoyed seeing the bank vault, meeting the tellers and receiving a gift bag full of goodies. Participants were (left to right, front row) Michael Rober, Matthew Kiel, (second row) Patrick Fitzsimmons, Tom Moore, Griffin Bennett, David Bagshaw, Jay Tappen, Adam Oriola, (top row) Sovereign Bank employees Brian Caples (manager, vice president), Elisa Fitzgerald (teller) and Fran Pagliaro (financial relationship specialist).
