RSC approves student summer trips to Europe

At the March 25 Concord Carlisle Regional School Committee meeting Concord middle school teachers Sarah Oelkers and Liz Feakins received permission from the committee to offer two educational trips this summer for students entering grades eight, nine, and ten. They plan to accompany twelve students to Athens and Rome for eight days in July ("The Ulysses & Odysseus Adventure"), and a second group to London, Cambridge, and Canterbury for nine days in August ("Literary London and the Stage"). Students interested in the trips must fill out and submit an application by April 11. They will be interviewed and asked to explain "why they want to participate, what they hope to learn, and what they think they can contribute to the experience." Students can visit the web site www.acis.com/trips/tripfinder for more information.
