Shorts from the RSC, March 11
· Ragtime. Vice-chair of the Concord-Carlisle Regional School Committee (RSC) Michael Fitzgerald commented on the high school performance of Ragtime, and recognized the excellent job done by the music department. "I was totally taken with the number of kids involved."
· New superintendent. Committee Chair Betsy Bilodeau read a prepared statement regarding the selection of Brenda Finn as the new superintendent of schools for Concord and Concord-Carlisle. The statement praised Finn's qualifications and achievements, described Finn as a "can do" person with a disarming sense of humor, and a builder of community consensus. She concluded by saying that acting superintendent Eugene Thayer has done an excellent job, "as has this staff sitting around this table."
· Next meeting. The next Regional School Committee meeting is scheduled for March 25.
