Shorts from the board of health, November 21
• 75 West Street public hearing. The public hearing on a waiver for a replacement septic system at 75 West Street was postponed until January 9. The engineer from Stamski and McNary had just received board of health consulting engineer Rob Frado's comments at 4 p.m. the day of the hearing, and had made the changes Frado suggested, but no one had reviewed the changes. Furthermore no one seemed to know the cause of the failure of the septic system. The conservation commission wishes to move the system further from the wetlands border.
• Lot 1 Buttrick Lane. The installer of the septic system at Lot 1 Buttrick Lane appeared to ask for a waiver of the 100-foot distance from the well to the septic system. E. R. Sullivan, who installed the well, had to move the location because of a cave-in and the new well location is now 97 1/2 feet from the septic tank. The board unanimously granted the wavier.
