Holiday toy drives in Carlisle

There are three local organizations collecting toys for needy children this holiday season. Without this community's help, many of these children will likely go without any gift this holiday season.

The Carlisle Police Department is asking for donations of new, unwrapped toys. Drop off toys at the police station any time between Saturday, December 7 and 8 a.m. Friday, December 20, and they will be delivered to the Lowell office of the State Department of Social Services in time for Old Saint Nick's arrival.

Toys for Tots is also collecting new, unwrapped toys. Drop off donations at either Daisy's Market in Carlisle, or at any Coldwell Banker real estate office, located in Concord at 42 Main Street, 11 Main Street or 23 Monument Street.

Brownie Troop 2648 is collecting new or gently-used toys. Donations may be dropped off on the porch bench at 358 Autumn Lane, or call 1-978-369-8931 to arrange pickup.
