Planning board shorts, October 29
• Swanson Lane common drive. David Erickson appeared before the board to discuss the completion of repairs to the utility covers on the Swanson Lane common drive. This is a planning board condition for the release of the common drive construction deposit. Erickson stated, "It would be nice to finish this by the end of the year." In response, the board authorized planning administrator George Mansfield to release the escrow monies once the work is finished.
• Identification of wireless sites study. The board received four responses to its "Request for Proposals for Wireless Facility Sites." The board is seeking to identify and evaluate potential sites for wireless facilities. Member Michael Abend stated, "The study may tell us what changes need to be made to our bylaw." Interviews on the proposals are scheduled for November 7. The board will also consult town counsel whether this effort conflicts in any way with the litigation stemming from the board of appeals denial of a wireless tower application at 662 Bedford Road.
• East Street common driveway. A hearing on a special permit for a common driveway at 138 East Street was continued until November 25 at 7:45 p.m. This hearing has been repeatedly continued since the spring while the applicant Theodore Triebick prepares additional information on easements.
