Fall concert for children at Middlesex Bedford Campus

And the beat goes on — "A World of Music," Middlesex Community College's free fall 2002 concert series, continues with "Children's Corner," a program of music for children by Just in Time Composers and Players, to be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, November 17 in MCC's Concert Hall on the Bedford Campus. The concert is free and open to the public.

Young musicians as well as adults will perform in this unique program of works for children composed by MCC faculty member John Sarkissian, as well as Hayg Boyadjian, Stephen James and Pamela J. Marshall, all members of Just in Time Composers and Players.

"A World of Music" also presents a performance by Bedford pianist Margery Aumann to be held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, November 15 in MCC's Concert Hall. Andrei Sobchenko, saxophone, will be guest artist..

Other events in MCC's "A World of Music" Fall 2002 concert series include a concert by Irina Muresanu, violin, and Carmen Rodriguez-Peralta, piano, on November 22; and an MCC student recital on December 9.

Champions skate to support Project Bread

The Colonial Figure Skating Club will host an Exhibition of Champions and Silent Auction on Saturday, November 9 at 7:30 p.m. at the Nashoba Valley Olympia, Route 111 in Boxborough, in support of Project Bread. Scheduled to appear are New England Regional champions, Adult National Champions, ISI World Champions, the Colonial Synchronized Skating Teams and some former World Competitors as special guest skaters.

The Silent Auction items will be available for viewing from 6 to 9 p.m. and a detailed listing of silent auction items will be available to bidders on the Colonial web site at www.colonialfsc. com a week before the event.

Admission at the door is just $5 for adults, $3 for children and seniors .
