Hanscom regional impact report to be reviewed in Concord

MAGIC, the Minuteman Advisory Group on Interlocal Coordination, will hold a special meeting to review and prepare comments on the 2000 Hanscom Field Draft Environmental Status & Planning Report. The review will be part of MAGIC's "Developments of Regional Impact" (DRI) review process. The meeting will take place on October 29 at 7 p.m. in the conference room at the Concord Department of Planning and Land Management at 141 Keyes Road.

Richard Canale of Lexington, who is drafting comments as co-chair of the Environmental Subcommittee of the Hanscom Area Towns (HATS) Committee, will present the issues of concern to HATS. MAGIC reps will then discuss the implications and issues from the broader perspective of the subregion as a whole and determine what comments, if any, are appropriate for MAGIC. MAGIC is a subregion of MAPC, the regional planning agency for the 101 communities of metro Boston. MAGIC consists of local officials from Acton, Bedford, Boxborough, Carlisle, Concord, Hudson, Lexington, Lincoln, Littleton, Maynard, and Stow. Members generally meet monthly to exchange ideas and plan activities related to multi-community planning, infrastructure, and service delivery.

The meeting is open, and the public is welcome. For more information, contact MAGIC Coordinator Judith Alland at MAPC, 1-617-451-2770, ext. 2022.
