Planning board fills vacancy
At a joint meeting of the Carlisle Board of Selectmen and Planning Board on September 24, David Freedman was selected to fill a short-term vacancy on the planning board, until the town election next May 13. Freedman is a graphic designer, a Forum writer for the Mosquito, and a volunteer on Carlisle's youth commission.
Freedman has attended various planning board meetings over the years. Chair Kate Reid spoke for the board, saying Freedman was "the best prepared of the three candidates to hit the ground running." The other candidates will be encouraged to stay interested, perhaps observe some of their meetings, and to run for election to the planning board in the future.
