Hwashing Cheng and Samuel S. Heyworth

Hwashing Cheng, the daughter of Gordon C.L. and Yishan Cheng of Stoney Gate, married Samuel Stevens Heyworth, son of James 0. and Christine Heyworth of Riverside, Connecticut on June 22 at Christ Church in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The Rev. Robert W. Tobin performed the ceremony. A reception was held at The Charles Hotel in Cambridge. The maid of honor was Kristina Pisanelli. Bridesmaids were Prashanti Aryal, Rachelle Maillet, Marna Pattaropong and Jennifer Temple. Jillian Sun of Lexington was the flower girl. Ben Heyworth was his brother's best man. The ushers were Jim Heyworth, brother of the bridegroom, Hwakong Cheng, brother of the bride, Oliver Pierson and Nate Slater.

The bride is a graduate of Carlisle Public School, Phillips Exeter Academy and Bates College, where she received a bachelor of arts degree, majoring in music. She is the manager of development programs at FleetBoston Celebrity Series, a presenting organization for the performing arts in Boston. The bridegroom also is a graduate of Phillips Exeter Academy and is a graduate of Yale University, where he received a bachelor of arts degree, majoring in American Studies. He is a systems analyst manager with Fidelity eBusiness in Boston, a division of Fidelity Investments.

The couple honeymooned in Italy, spending time in Florence and on the Amalfi coast. In the fall Mr. Heyworth will begin the MBA program at the Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University, and the couple will reside in Evanston, Illinois.


Piper Bartlett Harring

Vaughn and Heidi Harring of West Street are pleased to announce the arrival of Piper Bartlett Harring. She was born August 28 at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. Piper joins her older sisters Reilly and Alden. Proud grandparents are George and Jill Reichenbach, also of West Street, and Mac and Barbara Harring of Acton. Other local relatives are her aunt Linda Harring of Acton, cousins Bar and Bart Littlefield of Concord, and great aunt Judy Batemen of Littleton.

Samantha Clark Brown

Nathan Brown and Nancy Cowan of Russell Street are delighted to announce the birth of their daughter Samantha Clark Brown on August 19 at Emerson Hospital. Samantha joins her sister Katherine, who is 2 1/2. Happy grandparents are Russ and Katherine Cowan of Oak Bluffs, and Mimi and Peter Freeman of Little Compton, Rhode Island.

· Jason Forte of Laurelwood Drive recently competed in the 2002 AAU National Baseball Championships at Wide World of Sports in Orlando, Florida. Jason pitched in three games with a 1-0 record.

Sunday party planned for O'Rourke family

A cooperative party is planned for Tom and Wendy O'Rourke, their family and friends, on Sunday, September 15, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Woodward home, 767 Bedford Road. All friends of the O'Rourkes are invited to this pig roast and barbecue. Contributions of help, food and utensils would be appreciated. Call 1-978-369-0468 for more information.
