Student/faculty basketball game at Carlisle school

Mark your calendars for Thursday, April 11 for the fifth annual student/faculty basketball fundraiser. The event will again be held at the Concord-Carlisle High School (CCHS), so everyone can be accommodated. Ticket prices are $8 for adults and $6 for students. Tickets may be purchased through classroom teachers beginning Monday, March 25. While tickets will also be available at the door the evening of the game, advance purchase is strongly encouraged. All proceeds will benefit the Carlisle Teachers Association scholarship fund. Make checks payable to the CTA scholarship fund.

Friday Night Live tonight!

The second of two Friday Night Lives in March will be tonight, March 29, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Premier DJ Heather, a fan favorite last year, will be on hand to play great music. Students are invited to listen, dance, tap their feet to the beat, and hang out with friends in the exercise room. The gym will be available for basketball, ping pong and more hanging out with friends. The spacious hallway will be available for chess or checkers. Pizza and soda will be available for a small fee.

A good time will be available for Carlisle students (public or private) in sixth to eighth grades with a completed parental permission form on file. (Anyone who has not yet filled out a permission form must bring a parent or guardian with them to fill one out.) A $3 contribution at the door allows the program to be self-supporting. Students leaving before 9:30 p.m. must be signed out by a parent. All others should be picked up at 9:30 sharp. There will be no Friday Night Live in April; FNL will return May 3. Call Kathy Hassey at 1-978-287-4284 with any questions.

CHEERS TO THE SEVENTH GRADE PLAY. Beaming cheerleaders from "Bye Bye Birdie" are (back row) Alexandria Alberto, Tess Guttadauro, (middle row) Sarah Landry, Sarah Guo, Meredith Popolo and (front row) Cori Armistead. The musical begins performances next Thursday and runs through the weekend. (Photo by Cynthia Gatti)
