'Tastes of our Towns' moves to bigger venue

Ming Tsai, chef/owner of Blue Ginger Restaurant and award-winning host of two TV Food Network cooking shows, will again serve as Honored Emcee of "Tastes of our Towns." The event, hailed as "metro-West's premiere food event" supports the programs of Concord Family and Youth Services (CFYS).

Tastes of our Towns 2002 will be held on Sunday, February 10, at the Royal Plaza Hotel in Marlborough. Because of the waiting list of over 100 people for the sold-out event last year, the event will be held at this new, larger venue to accommodate those wishing to attend and to allow participating restaurants and caterers more room to prepare and show their offerings.

Area restaurants and caterers donate their culinary creations for the enjoyment of over 400 Tastes participants. Last year, over 35 food purveyors donated an appetizer, entree or dessert enjoyed by the supporters and judged by a panel of distinguished food experts.

There are still volunteer opportunities for Tastes 2002. Those interested in volunteering for the event are urged to contact the development office at 1-978-264-3602.

Information on ticket availability for the event (which has sold out every year) will be mailed to area homes in early December.
