Ben plans on trying out as a catcher, pitcher, and outfielder. Head Coach Rick Petersen, also an Associate Scout with the San Diego Padres, says "Ben has a good chance to be one of our top players. He has excellent arm speed for a 13-year-old. We clocked him on the radar gun at 69 m.p.h. He also is the fastest player on the team. His 60-yard dash time of 7.6 is one of the fastest we've ever recorded for a 13-year-old."

Fathers and daughters have a lively time at the Girl Scout Father-Daughter square dance held at the Scout House in Concord.
