A CCHS evening of Broadway cabaret
The talents of thirty-five Concord-Carlisle High School students will be showcased at a Broadway Cabaret on Saturday, October 20, at 7:30 p.m. at the high school.
"There should be something for everyone. Students will perform songs from old favorites, such as The Sound of Music. But current Broadway hits such as Aida will also be featured. We'll have solos, duets, and choreographed ensembles," Chuck Brown, CCHS music teacher and Cabaret director, said.
The high school cafeteria, which will be transformed into a theater-in-the-round for the event, will offer cozy table seating and delicious refreshments will be served. "The theater-in-the-round brings the audience closer to the stage. It also gives the students the opportunity to learn a different theatrical approach. They have to perform to all four sides. It should be exciting," Brown explained.
Tickets at $10 each are available by calling 1-978-318-1417, ext. 151.
