Chamber of Commerce awards Stone Scholarship to Khederian
The Concord Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that the Stone Scholarship has been awarded to Kristin Khederian of Pheasant Hill Lane. The Stone Scholarship is an award given yearly by the Chamber of Commerce for the past eight years, to a student at Concord-Carlisle High School who has shown outstanding academic achievement, excellent sportsmanship, and a dedication to community service. It was established in 1994 in recognition of Bill Stone and all his contributions as past treasurer and board member of the Chamber for six years.
Kristin was the first CCHS intern to be selected for the new Chamber Volunteer Program. She is interested in pursuing a career in office management. The Chamber Volunteer Program offers three areas of volunteerism: marketing, technical, and office management. Kristin was able to master all three areas in a short period of time.
In addition to her volunteer work at the Chamber, Kristin was involved in a number of extracurricular activities. She was active with Junior State (a political awareness/debate club), competed on the CCHS Field Hockey team, and also rowed crew through the Community Rowing Institute.
Kristin will enter The University of Delaware College of Business Administration this fall.
