ENGAGEMENTs Simon Roberts to wed Mary Moseley
Ian and Beverley Roberts, formerly of Concord and Carlisle, now of Williamsburg, Virginia, have announced the engagement of their son Simon to Mary Moseley, of Vienna, Virginia. Mary is the daughter of Stephen and Linda Moseley, also of Williamsburg, Virginia.
The bride-to-be is a graduate of Bruton High School and James Madison University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in history.
The prospective bridegroom is a graduate of Concord-Carlisle Regional High School and Messiah College, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Sports and Exercise Physiology.
Simon is employed by EMC Corporation and Mary is with Marriott International, both located in Bethesda, Maryland.
An October 13 wedding is planned at King's Way Church in Williamsburg.
Eric Getchell to wed Christine Shea
Christine Shea, daughter of Richard and Cynthia Shea of Yarmouth, Maine, and Eric Edward Getchell, son of Edward and Marjorie Getchell of West Street, are planning a June wedding in Boothbay Harbor, Maine. The couple will spend several weeks relaxing in Hawaii after the wedding.
Christine is a graduate of Yarmouth High School and a 1997 graduate of Bentley College with a B.S. in Finance. She is specializing in International Finance with State Street Brokerage.
Eric graduated from Concord-Carlisle High School and the University of Vermont in 1995 with a B.S. in Computer Science. Eric is currently with Distributed Logic Corporation working on large scale systems architecture and design.
· Phyllis Cohen, former Carlisle selectman, will be the speaker at the Women's Business Network luncheon at the Seventh Heaven, Broad Street, Hudson on March 19. Cohen, of Marketing Dynamics, will be sharing ideas and strategies to help women market their businesses and will discuss general areas such as planning, presentation, image and advertising. · Ashley Khederian of Pheasant Hill Lane will be competing at the upcoming Fifth Annual Bay State Classic Invitational Gymnastics Competition hosted by Walker's Gymnastics of Lowell. Local gymnast Khederian, a freshman at Concord-Carlisle High School, will be competing at Level 10. She joined Walker's Gymnastics in August 1999 as a Level 8 gymnast. She has competed exceptionally well this year and is looking forward to finishing high in the standings in this meet.
