McKenzie now town administrator

"I'm pleased to be here. It's a delightful community," Madonna McKenzie commented on her recent appointment to a three-year term as town administrator. McKenzie has served as interim town administrator since last April.

McKenzie has been active in government in her home town of Westford for many years, serving six years as selectman, six years on the school committee, and participating in regional planning groups. She also served as Westford's interim town manager for most of 1999, developing a $45 million budget and working on a reorganization of town management.

"Within the past six months Madonna has proved her ability, particularly on the people side, in communication, and in her knowledge of town government. We're very pleased to be making this appointment," commented selectman John Ballantine following the September 26 announcement.
