Library dedication set for September 17
On Sunday, September 17, the town of Carlisle is invited to stroll through the renovated Gleason Library Building, enjoy refreshments and take part in the dedication of the newly-expanded library.
At 1 p.m., Carlisle's Hans Bohn will perform with the Beacon Brass Quintet, and the Chiao Bin Huang Dance Studio will demonstrate ribbon dancing. At 1:30 p.m., enjoy magician Steve Charette and children's entertainer Gene Stamell. The building dedication will be held at 2:30 p.m., after which classical guitarist Catherine O'Kelly and local fiddler Bill Brown will perform at 3 p.m. Juggler Dan Foley will also be on hand. Throughout the afternoon, face-painting, bubble-blowing and self-guided tours will be offered.
Because of the outdoor activities, parking will not be available at the library for the event.
