June 5

11:14 a.m. The department of public works (DPW) was advised of concrete in the roadway at Concord and Westford Streets.

12:50 p.m. A dead squirrel was removed from the roadway at Bedford Road and East Street.

5:49 p.m. DPW was advised of a rug in the roadway on Rutland Street.

8:22 p.m. A Pine Brook Road resident reported smoke in the kitchen. The smoke was caused by burnt food.

June 6

9:51 a.m. Police were asked to keep the peace at the scene of a boundary dispute on Carroll Drive.

10:01 a.m. Patrol removed a branch from the roadway on Westford Street.

11:24 a.m. Patrol was asked to return to Carroll Drive in connection with the previously reported civil matter. The parties to the dispute were advised.

1:38 p.m. Boston Edison was advised of a wire across a driveway on North Road.

5:42 p.m. Dispatch received a complaint about a motorist at Concord and Westford Streets. The offender was advised.

5 p.m. A complaint about school bus operation at Brook and Maple Streets was logged.

10:58 p.m. DPW was advised of a large tree across the roadway on Baldwin Road.

11:04 p.m. Boston Edison was advised of a flash of light from a pole on School Street.

11:24 p.m. Dispatch received a call from a Martin Street resident stating that the electrical wires were down and there was smoke inside. Both the fire department and Boston Edison were notified.

June 7

8:54 a.m. Boston Edison was advised of a power outage on East Riding Drive.

8:05 p.m. DPW was advised of tires dumped on North Road roadway.

June 8

00:22 p.m. The dog officer was notified of a deceased dog on Berry Comer Lane.

8:14 a.m. The animal control officer was advised of a raccoon problem on Bedford Road.

9:05 a.m. The postal service was notified of larceny of mail from an East Street residence.

9:25 a.m. A vehicle hit a coyote at Westford Street and the Westford line.

11:55 Patrol delivered a message from the Billerica Police to a Timothy Lane residence.

12:52 p.m. A young deer was reported lying by the roadway on South Street. Patrol investigated; the animal got up and ran away.

4:12 p.m. Police made a well-being check at North Road and the Duck Pond. The situation checked okay.

June 9

1:12 p.m. A 36-year-old Billerica resident was stopped at Bedford and Skelton Roads because of a loud muffler. He drove off when the patrol car approached, and Bedford and Billerica Police pursued him. He returned to Carlisle where he was arrested for failing to stop for an officer, possession of a Class B substance and operating under the influence of drugs. He was released on bail at 3:59 p.m.

3:39 p.m. Glass in the roadway was removed at Lowell Street and the cemetery

June 10

9:24 a.m. A suspicious male loitering at Curve Street and Hutchins Road was advised.

11:23 a.m. An injured turtle was removed from the roadway at Curve and Fiske Streets.

June 11

1:42 p.m. Police were successful at the scene of a vehicular lockout at North Road and the Duck Pond.

2 p.m. Medication was found on Cross Street.

1:47 p.m. A man fell off a ladder on Westford Street and sustained a possible ankle injury.

5:30 p.m. An elderly man feeling ill was taken to the hospital.
