· Carlisle Fencers clean up at the North Atlantic Youth Fencing Tournament in Garden City, Long Island, June 10 and 11.

Eva Jellison, Judy Farm Road, was first in Youth 12 Girls Sabre and third in Youth 14 Girls Sabre. Emily Ho, Judy Farm Road was third in Youth 12 Girls Sabre. Ted Ho, Judy Farm Road, was fourth in Youth 10 Boys Sabre. Erica Pernice, Judy Farm Road, was second in Youth 10 Girls Sabre.

Their club, Prise de Fer Fencing Club, took home a total of 12 medals over the weekend. They are all coached by David Blake of Bedford Road.

· Daniel and Joey Balles of Nowell Farme Road completed the 42-mile Five Borough Tour of New York City on May 7. This is Daniel's third year and Joey's second year cycling Bike New York. Joey Balles and Ian Bloomfield of Aberdeen Drive placed second and fourth place respectively at the Northeast Bicycle Club's Kids-Only Bike Race held on June 3 in Winchester. Joey and Ian raced twenty competitors in the 7- and 8-year- old mountain bike class.

· Geoffrey Cole of Old Quarry Drive, president and CEO of Emerson Hospital in Concord, was elected chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Massachusetts Hospital Association.
