Tax bills in the mail

The tax rate for the current fiscal year was recently approved by the state Department of Revenue at $17.80 per $1,000 in real estate valuation. Residents should receive their tax bills today and payment will be due on December 27. The bills are late this year because the paperwork could not be filed with the state until after the November 2 Special Town Meeting.

A homeowner who does not receive a tax bill should call the tax collector's office at 369-5557.
