Trails committee at work again
On Saturday, November 6, the Carlisle Trails Committee and their supporting cast of volunteers completed construction of two more bridges. These spans replaced badly damaged and rotted structures on the Greenough Land and are located on a trail that connects to old foot paths which are parallel to the Concord River. Dubbed the "Jack and Ceil bridges," this latest project is yet another step to link trails that extend from Greenough through the O'Rourke Farm and on to Foss Farm. A few of the volunteers who helped were: Bert Williams, Bill Brady, John Bakewell, Matt Hamor and Verna Gilbert. (See page 13 for details on the trail committee's next endeavor.)
