Carlisle youth target of high school assault
An 18-year-old Carlisle youth was slightly injured as he stepped out of his car in the Concord-Carlisle High School parking lot and the driver of a sports utility vehicle (SUV) accelerated, pushing the youth into another car. The incident occurred on October 26 at 4:59 p.m. and a number of witnesses were able to give Concord Police the license number of the vehicle.
Sgt. Macone of the Concord Police stated in a telephone interview that the 18-year-old Acton youth driving the SUV was arrested and charged with assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon, hit and run, and reckless operation. His pre-trial hearing has been set for November 19. High school Principal Elaine DiCicco said a trespass notice forbidding the Acton youth from being on CCHS grounds has been issued. Both Macone and DiCicco believe the incident was an isolated individual's action and not an expression of school rivalry.
