Selectmen say no to West Street
The board of selectmen formally voted on October 26 not to exercise the town's right of first refusal on the 9.3-acre parcel of land off West Street owned by Christopher Fleming and Susan Dollinger. The town would have had to match a purchase price of $1 million.
Although the selectmen acted without first hearing from the conservation commission, all other land-use boards and the Carlisle Land Trust had recommended not to purchase the property. The land trust hopes to see a conservation cluster approved for the parcel with limited public access.
