Willard selected to join ConsCom
The conservation commission has returned to full strength with the appointment of longtime resident, Sylvia Willard. It has not taken long to recruit new commissioners to replace the three veterans who resigned this past summer, and the changeover has brought a variety of backgrounds and talents to one of the town's busiest boards. In a related matter, ConsCom recording secretary, Judy Johnson, has resigned.
The present membership of the town's environmental watchdog group, now includes physicist Thomas Brownrigg, physics professor Eric Jensen, chemist Jo Rita Jordan, attorney Carolyn Kiely, Annandale Farm manager John Lee, environmental engineer Patricia Smith and recent master's degree graduate in environmental science, Willard.
At the same October 14 meeting that sent Willard's name to the board of selectmen for formal appointment, members named Lee as their representative to the municipal land acquisition committee and moved Kiely and Brownrigg to the conservation restriction subcommittee.
