· Megan Eliassen of Virginia Farme Lane received her M.D. from UMass Medical School in mid-June. Megan received her undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College, and took a year off during medical school to be a medical volunteer in Nepal. She is now doing a family practice internship/residency in Denver, Colorado.

· The Carlisle Police Association is pleased to announce that Kimberley B. Irwin of Concord Street is the recipient of the 1999 Carlisle Police Association Scholarship. Kimberley is a business technology major at Middlesex Community College in Bedford. Kimberley has maintained a 3.0 GPA during her first year and is looking forward to applying some of her newfound knowledge at her internship this fall in a medical office environment. Presenting Kimberley with her scholarship check for $1,000 is Officer Debra Saponaro, vice-president of the Carlisle Police Association.

The association would also like to thank the people of Carlisle who made donations to their recent 1999 fundraiser. It is through these donations that the scholarship is made possible.
