Vandalism at high school

The front window at Concord Carlisle High School was shot sometime on the night of Saturday, April 24.

Deputy Fred Ryan of the Concord police said in a telephone interview earlier this week that the incident is still under investigation. Two suspects from Bedford have been identified, although no one has been charged. Ryan said that the shots were believed to be BB shots fired in retaliation for damage in Bedford for which the Bedford youths incorrectly held Concord-Carlisle students responsible.

When asked if the vandalism might have any relation to the April 20 shooting at Columbine High School in Littleton, Colorado, Ryan said the Concord shooting "had nothing whatsoever to do with it. We frequently deal with acts of vandalism and there is nothing to tie the two together."
