Garden Club is appreciative

To the Editors:

I would like to thank the townspeople of Carlisle for making the Carlisle Garden Club's spring plant sale a huge success; we are grateful for your support. Also, many thanks to Gary Davis and the DPW crew—you were so helpful in lending us the site, as well as helping out with the heavy lifting. I would also like to thank Agway of Chelmsford, Verrill Farms of Concord and Hutchins Farm of Concord for their generous donations. Last, but certainly far from least, thanks to all the garden club members for their time and donations; it would never have happened without you.

Anyone interested in joining the Carlisle Garden Club, please drop us a note at P.O. Box 231 in Carlisle or call Kathy Balles at 369-3859. Our monthly meetings, which include a speaker, are usually held in the evenings. Our members are responsible for planting various locations throughout the town, holding an annual fundraiser and funding a scholarship for Carlisle students planning to major in environmental or horticultural studies.

If you are interested in making our town more attractive and learning more about gardening, please consider joining.
