Fargo sponsors U-PLAN seminar in Concord

On Wednesday, May 6, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Alcott Elementary School in Concord, Senator Susan Fargo and the Massachusetts Educational Financing Authority (MEFA) are co-sponsoring an information session about the U-PLAN.

The U-PLAN is a Massachusetts state-sponsored college saving program that allows families to save for their children's education by locking in tomorrow's tuition at today's rate. The U-PLAN is the only pre-paid college tuition savings program in the nation that includes public and private colleges and universities. Both residents and non-residents of Massachusetts may invest in the program.

The seminar is one of the only six being held in the state. A representative of MEFA will be present to explain the program and the enrollment procedure. Since this is an investment program, the parents best suited for the U-PLAN would have children ranging in age from newborn to 8th grade.

For further information about the seminar, contact Senator Susan Fargo at (617) 722-1572.
