HOW TO SUBMIT A LETTER
The Carlisle Mosquito welcomes letters from readers. Letters should not exceed 350 words in length. Writers must sign their letters and include a street address, as well as a phone number (not to be published) so they can be reached with any questions. The deadline for letter submissions is Monday at noon.
A letter may be sent to the Mosquito by mail at 662A Bedford Road, Carlisle, MA; by dropping it off at Ferns' drop box or at the Mosquito office, or by faxing a signed copy to the office at 1-978-369-3569. Email letters to firstname.lastname@example.org
will be accepted if a signed copy is also provided.
Letters that are obscene, libelous or in poor taste will not be printed. The editors reserve the right to edit because of length, clarity or questionable taste. If many letters are received on the same topic, the editors may choose to publish a representative sample. Writers should list memberships in organizations or any relevant financial interest in the topic discussed in the letter.

HOW TO SUBMIT A POLITICAL LETTER
The Carlisle Mosquito welcomes political letters to the editor and, except for the single reason noted in the next paragraph, prints every one that it receives, provided they meet the following criteria: to be considered for publication, letters must be signed with the writer’s name and street address; letters may not be libelous and are subject to editing for clarity and length; any letter about any candidate, ballot question or Warrant Article will be limited to 350 words.
If many letters are received on any one topic, the editors may print representative samples, clearly stating that they have done so, and may limit the number of letters printed annually by any one person.
Mail or deliver letters to the Editor, Carlisle Mosquito, 662A Bedford Road, Carlisle MA 01741, or use the drop box at Ferns. Letters must be in our hands by Monday noon.
SUBMITTING OBITUARIES, ENGAGEMENT, WEDDING AND BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENTS

Subscriptions are $35/year, student subscriptions are $25/year. There is an additional postage charge for first class and out of country mailing. For more information, please contact the Mosquito office.
POLITICAL AD POLICY
•Political advertisements must conform to the Carlisle Mosquito’s General Guidelines.
•All political advertisements must be prepaid with cash or certified check
•Political ads are not eligible for any discounts.
•Responsibility for deciding whether an ad is political rests with the editor.
•Political advertisements must be labeled on top “Paid Political Advertisement” in size no smaller than type;in the body of the newspaper.
•Political advertising copy deadline will be the same as the news deadline.
•Endorsers’ names appearing in an ad must be submitted in typewritten form accompanied by a signed MA Political Authorization Statement.
•All political ads for a candidate must be authorized in writing by the candidate, his or her agents, or the appropriate committee.
•Political Ads will be accepted for publication up until the issue before the election.
